Studied Law (Tübingen/Lausanne/Washington). Bar-exam. Freelance Journalist since Highschool. Radio Correspondent (ARD) in Washington. Chief Editor of RIAS Berlin (89/90). Returned to DC in 1990. TV Correspondent there for 15 years. One year in London. 2003 changed to ZDF as editor and principal anchor of “heute-journal” (in-depth-daily news) and documentary film-maker until 2021. Now free again.
