Russian independent journalist An award-winning freelance journalist based in Berlin. She currently works with ZDF and ARTE, hosting programs «Masha on Russia» and «Tracks East». After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Masha fled her home city of Moscow and was later designated a “foreign agent” by the Russian government. She previously worked for Russia’s independent TV Rain, hosting a show exposing Kremlin disinformation. She continues to dissect Russian state propaganda and produce reports on the evolving social landscape within wartime Russia.
